ITP VoIP Full Review
ITP is an industry leader in the VoIP revolution. They are known for delivering high quality phone service and beating the competition with all of their value-added features. The company offers residential and business services at a fraction of the cost of traditional phone systems.
ITP offers seven versatile plans, with more than 25 calling features included in each one. That is more than most VoIP providers. This gives customers a great deal of flexibility. Whether you want residential service or a small business phone system with multiple lines, you are sure to find a plan suitable for your needs.
The seven plans range from basic residential to unlimited business. The main differences between the plans are the number of free outgoing minutes allotted per month. None of the plans require an annual contract, and you can choose to keep your existing phone number.
You also have the benefit of low rates for international calls and free in-network calls, which means that calls to other ITP subscribers are not counted as part of your allotted minutes.
Additional features include:
- Voice mail
- Caller ID
- Call waiting
- music on hold
- 3-way calling
- 411 directory assistance
- Wake up call – set your phone to wake you up in the morning
- Block outgoing numbers to prevent unauthorized international calling
- Call recording – record any calls with the click of a button
- Voice mail to email
- Toll free number block
- International call block
- Anonymous call rejection
- The ability to assign a different ring tone to the people on your contact list
ITP offers a variety of mobile apps. This allows you to use an Apple or Android device to make VoIP calls. With this app, you not only get to make affordable international calls, but you can also use devices such as tablets, that aren’t equipped with calling capabilities, to make calls.
The convenient web interface allows you to track your minutes and manage your account from anywhere you can access the internet.
Business plans have the added benefits of virtual fax, virtual numbers and softphones. These features enable you to make calls right over your computer without a traditional telephone and receive faxes by email. There is a fee involved for setting up the router. The fee isn’t much, but other VoIP providers supply the router for free and don’t charge for set up.
Ease of Setup
ITP phone service is quite simple to set up and use. The company provides detailed instructions on setting up the phone adapters, and there are just a few easy to follow steps needed to get the system up an running. Although the system is a bit more complicated to set up than some other VoIP systems, it is fairly simple and even a novice user shouldn’t have to much trouble.
The company provides a comprehensive FAQ section and a variety of user guides to help you with any problem that may arise. ITP encourages customers to find answers on the site, but they also offer phone and email support. However, they don’t specify the hours phone support is available.

ITP charges a set up fee and a fee for the router, which most VoIP services provide for free. Customers also complained that much of the time the voice quality is poor and customer support staff are difficult to deal with.
Overall, ITP is an outstanding VoIP service provider. Although many customers experienced poor voice quality much of the time and problems with dropped calls, the overall rating was 9.25/10. This was mainly due to all of the additional features included in each of the plans and the assortment of affordable plans to choose from. Even with the set up fee and charge for the router, ITP is still an excellent value.
